Good News: There’s a new way for your wp-based business to get exposure at WCSF!
A table in the mini trade show is a benefit that is included with all sponsorship levels of $10,000 or above. We recognize, however, that some of the most exciting WordPress-based businesses are small startups that can’t afford expensive sponsorships. To make it possible for some of these smaller — but just as impressive — businesses to showcase their services, we are introducing another avenue for participation.
We have set aside up to 10 spaces for WordPress-specific businesses to join the trade show. These tables will be available for $2500. Note that these are not sponsorships, so they do not come with logos on the website, program, screensavers, etc. This is for inclusion in the mini trade show only; if you are interested in additional exposure benefits, please contact our sponsorship coordinator.
Because these tables are less expensive than sponsorships but offer amazing exposure to the 800+ (so far) attendees of WordCamp SF, we expect that more than ten businesses will be interested in taking one of these spots. We will take applications for these table spots and will select participating businesses based on a combination of various criteria. After vetting for eligibility* we’ll choose participating companies based on the following:
- Expected attendee interest. Will people recognize your company or product name? Attendees will want to meet the people behind their favorite WP-based brands.
- Community involvement. Does your company contribute to core? Sponsor WordCamps or WordPress meetups? Give away plugins or themes in the WordPress.org repository? Help out in the support forums? Do other things to help grow the WordPress community?
- Variety. We’ll do our best to spread the love and choose companies that cover the gamut of WP-based businesses — themes, plugins, hosting, custom development, and any other cool things that I didn’t mention but that seem to fit the bill.
